I haven't laughed so hard in years.<BR/><BR/>I too have had a similar experience. It was about 1991 I think and I was riding to a friends house in my trusty lime green mountain bike with my equally trusty neon pink stakhat when my shoelace became tangled in my pedal. Before I could say cooee, I was flipped from the bike, landing straight on my head.<BR/>Hard.<BR/>That was the end of my beloved stakhat as it was now cracked in two and completely useless. At least it saved my head before it died.<BR/><BR/>Years later and I have X Rays at the chiro and I'm told that when I was approximately 12 I suffered a whip lash type of accident and it had actually caused a lot of damage to my still-developing bones.
